We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Blade Masters Axe and Knife Throwing Competition, premiering on ESPN the Ocho and sponsored by The Finnish Long Drink! This event will bring together throwers from all walks of the community to compete live on ESPN August 2nd, 2024. We had many applicants apply to join this event and after a review of all entries, we found a group of throwers to represent our awesome community and affiliates. For those unaware of what the Ocho on ESPN is all about, it is an annual event that’s a playful nod to the fictional network from the movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and since has become a real-life phenomenon for showcasing unique sports not typically given the spotlight. Since its debut, it has delighted audiences with a diverse array of events, from dodgeball and cornhole to competitive eating and axe throwing. This special programming block on ESPN provides a platform for sports that are often overlooked, bringing a fun and refreshing twist to traditional sports broadcasting.
Tune in August 2nd at 8 am (EST) to watch the live broadcast on ESPN to see these competitors go head to head in all the axe disciplines as well as the World Knife Throwing League disciplines and cheer on each team for only one will be declared the Blade Masters Champions!
