Upcoming Championship Locations and More!

May 1st, 2024

We are extremely excited to announce a multi-year partnership for three upcoming WATC events. Next year will see WATC head, once again, to Appleton, Wisconsin on April 3-6, 2025. (We will release hotel blocks/rates closer to the event so keep an eye out for those discounts!) The Fox Cities will host additional championships in 2027 and 2029 as well. The wonderful people of Appleton, the staff at the exhibition center, and the support we receive from the surrounding businesses have made us feel at home for two events already, and we look forward to the next three events!

“Appleton and the surrounding communities have embraced the axe and knife throwing community by hosting major championship events over the last few years and it is such a joy to continue to build this relationship between throwers, fans, event organizers, and affiliated businesses. I truly believe that the sport of axe and knife throwing will continue its incredible growth in the coming years and we look forward to playing a small role in supporting that growth.” -Matt Ten Haken, Director of Sports Marketing for the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau.

We are in our 5th year of business and we are growing with WATL as well with our venues sending 11 throwers to represent us at WAKTC and hopefully more for the Amateur Championships. We are excited to showcase our venue and provide our hospitality to throwers coming to visit Atlanta this fall.” -Dan Fisher, Owner- American Axes
