Your design could be on the front of the World Axe throwing League and World Knife Throwing League 2022 Championship Shirt!

Are you tired of event shirts that you wear once, and relegate to the back of the closet? Well, this is your chance to create the design that YOU want to wear!

WATL/WKTL is now accepting submissions to be used as the front-of-shirt design for the official championship event tee.

The deadline has been extended to Sept 23rd, to allow for artists to finalize submissions.

We will choose the top three designs out of the ones submitted, and the COMMUNITY will vote on the one that they want to see on a shirt. The winning design as chosen in the vote will receive:

• 1 Generation 3 Goliath bag in their choice of colour
• 1 Pro Line Axe of their choice
• 2 Other Standard Axes of their choice
• 1 Event Tee featuring their design

Submissions close September 16, 2022. You can enter as many different designs as you like. Please see below for all the contest rules.

Design Details

This design will be on a charcoal grey shirt. The design should represent both axe and knife throwing in WATL/WKTL.

• The maximum size of the design can be 10″ wide by 12″ tall.
• All entries must be original
  • No stock photography, unlicenced images or copyrighted images may be used or duplicated without an unlimited use license purchased and provided by the designer.
• Designs can be color, or black and white
• Colors must be clear and distinct (no gradients)
• Must feature at least one axe and one knife
• The artist’s signature is encouraged to be added subtly as to not take away from the art.
  • If no artist’s signature is incorporated into the image then credit will be printed on the shirt which reads “Shirt design by [Entrants Name]
  • Entries may not be done on behalf of a business or entity. Only an individual artist can submit and be given credit.
• In addition to an image file submitted for entry, the 3 entries picked for the community vote will be required to submit the workfile as well.
  • Acceptable image formats for images are .JPEG, .PNG, .PDF.
  • Acceptable workfile formats for workfiles are .PSD, and .AI

Contest Entry Guidelines

1. Appropriate Design. The design submitted should fit the intended use (recognizing the 2022 World Axe/Knife Throwing Championships), and be appropriate for public display.
   1. Restrictions. No recognizable images of individuals. No photographs. No URL’s or references to real or fake social media accounts. Text is allowed, but must be appropriate in the design. No references to specific venues, axe or knife makers or manufacturers, or organizations other than WATL and WKTL.
2. No Copyright Infringement. All entries must be original. No stock photography, unlicenced images or copyrighted images may be used or duplicated without an unlimited use license purchased and provided by the designer.
3. Acknowledgment. The winning artwork submission becomes the property of the World Axe Throwing League Inc., World Knife Throwing League, WATL, WKTL, 2387188 Ontario Ltd., 2770737 Ontario Ltd And Any Related Entities, and may be reproduced by any/all of these entities any all media now known or hereafter developed for commercial and non-commercial purposes alike. The entity(s). will only utilize the design on submission(s) actually deemed to be winners pursuant to these rules. By submitting Artwork, the entrant: (i) certifies that s/he created the submission and has the right to provide it to WATL; and (ii) agrees to indemnify WATL and all associated entities. from and against any claims, actions, suits and all related liabilities, damages and expenses incurred by WATL and related entities arising out of or relating to any alleged infringement of any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Each entrant hereby grants WATL a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, worldwide license to his/her Artwork submitted in connection with the Contest. Artwork selected as the winning entry(s) will remain the property of the entrant.
4. Judging. All entries will be reviewed by the World Axe Throwing League, personnel and guest judges. Judging is based on a variety of factors, including creativity, style, expression and use of the technique. Though not the sole factor for determining the top 3 designs for the community to vote on.
   1. WATL reserves the right to choose NO designs to put forward for voting, based on suitability and contest response.
5. Technical Difficulties/Support. WATL cannot be responsible for entries not received due to technical issues and accepts no responsibility for technical support of any entries.
6. Eligibility. Entrants are permitted to submit multiple designs. All contest entries must have a valid name, email address and phone number in order to be eligible.
7. Prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. All taxes and other expenses not expressly specified herein as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8. Winners. Selections for the community vote will be notified by email, as will the winner. Upon notification and before the award is granted, finalists will be required, at their own expense, to submit original artwork to WATL.
