World Axe Throwing Championship VIII and Annual Award Winners – 2024

The 8th World Axe Throwing Championship in Appleton, Wisconsin is officially wrapped! Congratulations to the winners and a huge thank you to everyone who attended, it was a truly special event.

It was a weekend showcasing the very best of the best in all disciplines and the champions truly earned their spots in this sport’s history. These individuals, and all the competitors, have put thousands of hours, and millions of throws, into achieving what they did this weekend. Their dedication to excellence is something to be admired and recognized.

We cannot WAIT to see what next year brings. The eyes of the world are on you, and you deserve it!

It would be a mistake not to recognize those individuals that may not have won this time, including past competitors, and those hopeful future champions. This sport comes down to the closest of margins, and the win could have easily gone to any of these individuals. A huge congrats for their accomplishments and stellar performances!

World Axe Throwing League Community Awards

Congratulations to all the incredibly talented throwers, craftsman, and venue owners who took home awards this year, at the WATC 2025.

Recognizing excellence in our sport is important, not only for the highest achieving athletes, but the venues and individuals who give to the community without a second thought. Our awards only capture a small fraction of our vast community in that regard.

Jack of All Blades

These awards are for the best of the best in all categories of throwing between the World Axe Throwing League AND the World Knife Throwing League. They competed consistently at the highest level all year long in all official throwing disciplines and because of that, they were awarded the Jack of All Blades award for 2024.

Crafstman Awards

The fourth annual Craftsman Awards invited our Certified Makers in the Craftsman Program to showcase their exceptional skills and creations. These awards are all about highlighting the talent and dedication of our craftsmen while recognizing the top creators who truly embody the spirit of innovation and artistry.

The Craftsman Awards were judged through a combination of community voting and panel judging. This approach balances community engagement with expert evaluation.

Fantasy Prediction Bracket Winners

This year we also ran a Fantasy bracket so people could try and predict how the bracket would progress! There was even prize money involved for those who came closest. Congratulations to the top three winners!
