2021 Signarama World Axe Throwing Championships

The 2021 World Axe Throwing Championships will be taking place from December 10th – December 12th in Fort Worth, Texas.

The 2021 World Axe Throwing Championships will consist of three Axe Throwing disciplines competing for a $50,000 prize pool!

Standard Hatchet

Hatchet will be divided into four separate tournament brackets. 

  • Double Elimination Tournament
  • 10 throws
  • Best 2/3

Finals

Winners of the Circle, Square, Triangle and Diamond bracket face off.

Seeded according to:

a) Tournament bull %

then 

b) Tournament kill %

Order

  • 1st plays 4th, 
  • 2nd plays 3rd 
  • Winners face off

Each game best 2/3, single elimination 

Big Axe

Big Axe will be split into two tournament brackets.

Mask Policy

Players and spectators will be required to wear CDC-approved masks at WATC events.

Masks are a precautionary measure; due to the rapidly changing circumstances surrounding Covid-19, our mask policy may be subject to change.

Qualifying Throws

Qualifying Throws are now closed for 2021 WATC

It is highly recommended that all Throwers that do not already have a WATC Bid participate in Qualifying Throws.

Qualifying Throws will be running from September 12th to October 3rd.

Participants

Participants in the World Axe Throwing Championships have won their Bids through the WATL Circuit Point, Pro League system and Qualifying Throws.

Spectators

WATC/WKTC competitors will receive a complimentary non-transferable VIP Ticket.

There are two ways to attend the ESPN Televised final, General Admission and VIP Seating.

VIP Tickets are available through the WATL Store.

General Admission tickets are available through Billy Bob’s Texas.

WATC Jerseys

Jersey Submissions are now closed for 2021 WATC

WATC Jerseys will need to be ordered through Sublime by November 19th.

Starting at the 2021 World Axe Throwing Championships, Throwers are allowed up to four Sponsors on their Jersey.

If you have sponsors that were approved for the 2021 US Open, they do not need to be resubmitted. To approve all other sponsors please submit through the link below as soon as your sponsors are available.

Thrower’s Ball

Finish out the weekend with the Thrower’s Ball, the final event of the WATL Year.

Celebrate with a night of camaraderie, dinner, dancing and a live presentation of the WATL Awards.

The Thrower’s Ball will be a celebration of the tremendous year we have had, and a preview of the year to come.

The Thrower’s Ball will be held at Billy Bob’s Texas on Sunday, December 12th.

Seats will be limited.

Holiday Inn: Daily Self-Parking Fee – $18 / night

    • Each region’s top players by allotment will receive World Championship bids. For example, the Midwest region will have their top 4 Circuit Point leaders receive bids for WATC. The break down by regions is as follows:
