Committees

The Affiliate Committee represents the interests of WATL/WKTL affiliated businesses, clubs, venues, and organizations. It provides a forum for discussing operational challenges, sharing best practices, reviewing affiliate programs, and developing recommendations that strengthen the relationship between the League and its global network of venues.

The Ambassador Committee supports the growth and visibility of the sport by fostering community engagement and outreach. It works to promote the sport, welcome new competitors, gather community feedback, and encourage positive representation of WATL/WKTL at every level.

The Craftsman Committee brings together some of the premier manufacturers, designers, and equipment experts to support the continued development of the sport’s tools and infrastructure. It reviews equipment standards, explores innovation, and provides guidance on matters relating to axes, knives, targets, and other competition equipment.

The Events Committee focuses on the planning, delivery, and continual improvement of WATL/WKTL-run events. It reviews event operations, develops organizational best practices, shares recommendations for event standards, and identifies opportunities to enhance the experience for competitors, spectators, and hosts.

The Judge Committee supports the integrity and consistency of officiating across WATL/WKTL competition. It reviews judging procedures, develops educational resources, evaluates certification standards, and provides recommendations to strengthen officiating at every level of the sport.

The Rules Committee is responsible for reviewing gameplay, evaluating proposed rule changes, and assessing their impact on competition and the community as a whole. Through testing, discussion, and community feedback, it develops recommendations that promote fair, engaging, and sustainable rules for the continued evolution of the sport.

The Tournament Committee focuses on the structure and administration of competitive play across WATL/WKTL. It reviews tournament formats, qualification pathways, rankings, and competitive policies while developing recommendations that strengthen the competitive experience for athletes and event organizers.
